Bluesg – Electric Car Sharing in Singapore
Article content
Bluesg offers over 500 electric vehicles and operates in more than 500 locations across Singapore. The service follows a free-floating model, which means you can pick up a car at point A and drop it off at point B — no need to return it to the same spot you got it from.
Vehicle Fleet
The Bluesg fleet is pretty simple — just two car models are available:
- BlueCar
- Opel Corsa E
Pricing: How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Car in Singapore?
Bluesg gives you two ways to rent: with a membership plan or as a non-member using simple hourly rental.
Bluesg Membership Pricing
You can choose between two membership packages:
- Basic — S$8/month
- Premium — S$18/month
The per-minute rental price stays the same for both plans. The Premium plan comes with two added perks:
- Invitations to exclusive events and member parties
- 40 free minutes of car usage every month

Prices for Non-Members
Rental prices vary depending on the day of the week. On weekends, Bluesg offers significant discounts, especially for longer bookings. The longer you rent, the cheaper each hour gets. For example, renting a car for just 1 hour from Monday to Friday will cost you S$20, but if you rent for 9 hours, the price drops to S$9.50/hour.

How to Rent a Bluesg Car in Singapore
Getting started is easy:
- Open the app
- Find an available car nearby
- Select the number of hours you want to book
- Reserve the car
- Head to the vehicle and start your trip
Insurance, Driver Requirements, and Other Info
Unfortunately, the official Bluesg website doesn’t provide detailed information about important things like:
- Who’s eligible to use the service
- What kind of insurance coverage the cars have
- Whether vehicles are fully insure
- What happens in the event of an accident
- What role the driver plays if something goes wrong
That lack of transparency makes it harder for users to understand their rights and responsibilities. So until Bluesg updates its terms, we can’t confirm the insurance details or user eligibility with certainty.
