Car sharing appeared in Dubai in 2024, although apps started being released in 2022. The website positions itself as "car rental in Dubai" rather than car sharing. Nevertheless, it has all the attributes of car sharing:

Booking

The car can be booked for 10 minutes, and booking is free.

If you do not start your trip within 10 minutes from the moment of booking in the app, the booking will be automatically canceled. If you have booked a car more than twice but did not complete a trip, you will be blocked from using the service for some time.

You are not allowed to:

Who can use Yaldi car sharing in Dubai

The user must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid UAE driver's license. Driving experience must be at least 12 months. The company also accepts international driver's licenses from other countries, namely:

Parking is only included in the price when the trip ends, not during the trip.

Car Sharing Payment

Payment is charged within 24-48 hours after using the service and includes all fees.

Fines from road and other authorities may be presented within 5-7 days after using the service.

Payment is withdrawn from the electronic wallet linked to your card. A fee of 2 AED is charged for initial card linking. A 100 AED penalty is applied for repeatedly adding/removing cards, to cover card processing fees.

Deposit

No deposit is required, except for long-term rentals, where a 1000 AED deposit will be held.

Allowed Mileage on the Vehicle

Mileage is included in the rate, and exceeding the limit is charged at 0.95 AED per extra km. The following mileage is included:

1. per-minute rates - 200 km/trip
2. per-day rates - 200 km/trip
3. per-week rates - 1750 km/week
4. per-month rates - 5000 km/month

Insurance and service fines

All vehicles are insured, and additional responsibility applies to drivers under 25 years old.

• fines for non-payment:
  • failure to pay within 7 days - 250 AED + expenses
  • disputed payments as fraud - 95 AED + 105 AED per transaction
• for parking:
  • parking in a mall (underground parking), parking outside designated zones - 100 AED + administrative fee
  • late payment of fines to government authorities (e.g., speeding fines) - 100 AED
• fees for leaving the car outside the designated zone in Dubai:
  • if the car is less than 180 km from Dubai - 250 AED

• battery damage - 100 AED + cost of the battery
• leaving car windows open or keys in the ignition - 100 AED

  • failure to submit a violation report within 24 hours - 500-1600 AED
  • transferring control of the vehicle to third parties - 500 AED or +20% of the damage/claim amount
